Teddybears – Rocket Calculator
Teddybears are about to unleash their upcoming album “Devil’s Music” sometime towards the end of March. Every week up until the releasedate, we here at Discobelle will provide you with an exclusive remix or mash up of tracks from the album. Here we go!
“Düsseldorf 1981 meets Philadelphia via Stockholm 2010.
Eve meets Ralph & Florian.
“I ain’t no rocket scientist, I rock the house and sign the tits and that’s it!…”
This is a remix/mashup of Eve’s vocal from the latest single release from Teddybears “Rocket Scientist” mashed with the mighty Kraftwerk’s “Pocket Calculator” from 1981. Just for fun. Just for the sheer hell of it. But it works like magic and there’s no denying it’s a match made in heaven.”

Lifelike – Live at Cocoon
Some mid-week fun from French house maestro Lifelike with this live set taken from a gig at Cocoon Club in Frankfurt. A quick taste of his upcoming single “Love Emulator/Silicon Love” (will be released in May) can be found around the 37:40 minute mark.
fugazi’s first demo
i dont think there is a band/artist that i listen to with any consistency that i hate/love/hate more than fugazi. actually i dont listen to em that often, and maybe just for that very reason. im sure im not alone in this kind of emotional flip-flopping in regards to said band. im hoping one day im gonna pop in repeater and just get “it.” sadly, im almost 15 years into this wishing and hoping, im still holding out cause i want it to happen. as the title suggests here is their first demo. buy their stuff via dischord.

Pantha Du Prince x Panda Bear x Four Tet
Pic by Alberto Seveso
Pantha Du Prince makes some of the smoothest techno we know, Panda Bear makes alot of experimental stuff with Animal Collective and Four Tet is just brilliant. Here we get them all together with the Four Tet remix of the track “Stick To My Side” (taken off the recently released Pantha Du Prince album “Black Noise”). The result of the threesome is a vibrant and pulsating techno tune that makes us quite happy.

Grand Hotel
Got some tunes in our mailbox today, this ditty comes courtesy of our friend Aleks over at Discodust.
Grand Hotel is a new London based label dedicated to electro, techno and breaks combined with a party series at both Fabric and Matter, acting as a platform for both emerging artists and established artists, such as Plump DJs.
The first release from the label is called “Get A Grip” (releasedate is March 22nd) and it comes from a yet unknown three piece electro act called Dirty Super Car. The track sports a mesmerizing Chaka Khan vocal sample, we received the slamming electro-house remix by Brisbane’s The Loops Of Fury for all you Discobelle readers.

BONUS: The launch of the labels residency at Matter will take place on March 19th. Room 2 will be hosted by Kiss FM’s Joe Ransom alongside very special guests Joe Goddard (Hot Chip), Duke Dumont, Riva Starr and Oliver $. Big night indeed!

Most Valuable Players
“Introducing Most Valuable Players caught on film. Summer breeze, walkabouts, confusion, flirts.
With an eye for the unforgiven Look presents the most underrated band in Sweden – a hidden secret, a whisper…”Some Nerve” was written and recorded in Cannes in the summer of 2009 and mixed by Fredrik Lindson (of The Embassy) and Dan Lissvik (of The Studio). Simple and beautiful, David Bowies “Young Americans” meets McCarthy.”
Teki x Tacteel x Nat Self
Teki Latex once again brings us some of that new heat.
“Initially we had a plan to come up with a single that would have one rap song produced by Nat Self of Zombie Disco Squad fame, and then a house remix of it by Mowgli, then on the flip a rap song produced by Mowgli and its house remix by Nat Self. Then the whole thing took more time than expected and i started working on new songs that will make up my forthcoming Sound Pellegrino single in a totally different style as “Hyper Là” so we decided to put that whole project on the side. I still wanted you to hear this excellent, fun, motivational french rap song featuring Jérôme Echenoz (the artist formerly known as Tacteel) on the hook and whistle.
Teki Latex (ft. Jérome Echenoz) – Hyper Là (prod. Nat Self) (Mediafire)
My new single “Da Answer / Dinosaurs With Guns / I Was Sober” with production by Renaissance Man, Noob and Orgasmic (and not including “Hyper Là”), is the next Sound Pellegrino release coming in less than a month. Fans of our Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team remix of United Groove should expect something in the same vein.”
Ultravid
The “Clan Of Wow EP” from Belgian duo Ultravid is the first release on new Ghent based label, Silverback Recordings. The EP includes two original tracks and two remixes from Kingdom (NYC, Nightslugs/Fools Gold) and Maddjazz (Chicago, Ghetto Division). The Kingdom remix is on some next level eerie, minimal sounding tip.

“You would be excused for not having heard of Wizard Sleeve till now. Until recently pretty much all of their success has been in the U.K, but not anymore. Already a YouTube phenomenon achieving in excess of an incredible 1 million views, Riverside Ft. Wizard Sleeve rendition that caught Sidney’s ear with its hooky verse hooks and catchy melodies. Wizard Sleeve aka PusherFM, Lex One and Mike Beatz based in New York and Miami respectively are consistently touring in the U.K and are known for working with supergroup ‘Black Noise’. Adapted from ‘Me Plus You’, the Wizard Sleeve rap style is perfect for Sidney’s hypnotic riff and complements Tupac’s vocal hook that has been having crowds chant ‘Riverside Motherf**ker’ all year round!!
